Turning on two-step verification for your Resmi.ID account

Account securityUpdated 31 October 2026 · 1 min read

An extra layer of security for the account that manages your domains, and what to prepare.

Your Resmi.ID account is used to sign in to the domain client area. Whoever controls that account can change DNS or request transfer codes. Two-step verification makes sure a password alone isn't enough to sign in.

How it works

After entering your password, you are asked for an extra code sent to the method you chose: email, WhatsApp, or an authenticator app on your phone.

Turning it on

  1. Sign in to your account at sso.resmi.id and open the security settings.
  2. Choose a verification method, then follow the confirmation steps.
  3. Store your backup codes somewhere safe. They are used if you lose access to your main method.
Mandatory from 16 November 2026. From that date, signing in with a password will always require two-step verification. Turning it on early lets you pick the method that suits you best.
