What to prepare at your old registrar, how to order the transfer, and what happens until it completes.
A transfer moves management of your domain from the old registrar to Resmi.ID without changing ownership. The transfer fee already includes a 1-year renewal, so the domain's active period gets longer.
Prepare at your old registrar
- Unlock the transfer (turn off "domain lock") in your old registrar's panel.
- Request the EPP / auth code, usually sent to the domain owner's email.
- Make sure the domain is older than 60 days since registration or its last transfer.
- Make sure the owner email is active, as the old registrar may ask for confirmation.
Ordering the transfer
- Open the Transfer page, enter the domain name, then click Check to see the fee.
- Continue to the order form and fill in the owner details and the EPP code.
- Complete the payment. The transfer is submitted once payment is received.
Tracking and cancelling
You can follow the transfer status in the client area. It usually takes 5–7 days, and while it is still in progress the transfer can be cancelled from the same page.
Your website keeps running during the transfer. As long as the nameservers aren't changed, your website and email keep using the existing DNS settings.
