The DNS records to add so @yourdomain email on Google Workspace can receive and send reliably.
After subscribing to Google Workspace, your domain needs a few DNS records: MX so email arrives at Google, and SPF and DKIM so the email you send isn't treated as spam.
Quickest way: use the preset
In the client area, open My Domains → choose the domain → Manage DNS, then pick the Google Workspace preset. The required records are created as drafts for you to review before saving.
If you prefer to add them yourself
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| MX | @ | smtp.google.com (priority 1) |
| TXT | @ | v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all |
| TXT | google._domainkey | DKIM value from Google Admin |
Only one SPF record. If the domain already has a TXT record starting with
v=spf1, merge them into one — two SPF records make both invalid.Turning on DKIM
- In Google Admin, open the Authenticate email settings for Gmail.
- Generate a DKIM key for your domain, then copy the TXT record's name and value.
- Add that record in Manage DNS, wait a moment, then click Start authentication in Google Admin.
Using Microsoft 365? There is a Microsoft 365 preset on the same page. Its record values are also shown in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
