PANDI and KORIKA launched .ai.id, a dedicated address for Indonesia's AI ecosystem. Since 5 October 2026 anyone can register, first come, first served.
Indonesia now has an internet address made for the artificial intelligence world: .ai.id. It was introduced by PANDI, the .id registry operator, together with KORIKA (Indonesia's AI research and innovation collaboration). After several priority phases, registration opened to the public on 5 October 2026 on a first-come, first-served basis.
What is .ai.id?
.ai.id is a second-level domain under the .id extension, alongside .co.id, .my.id, and .web.id. Addresses look like yourname.ai.id. According to PANDI, .ai.id is meant to signal credibility for AI services, products, and innovations built in Indonesia, and to help the public, investors, and international partners recognise AI services that come from Indonesia.
KORIKA, which brings together more than 4,000 AI community members, describes .ai.id as the world's first country domain designed specifically for an AI ecosystem (Liputan6). That is KORIKA's claim; PANDI's own press release does not make it.
Four registration phases
PANDI opened registration in stages so that trademark holders and existing .id owners could go first:

According to KORIKA's chairman, quoted by detikINET, the Sunrise phase alone drew around 1,000 applicants. The most common names may already be taken, so check the name you want soon.
Who is .ai.id for?
- Startups and tech companies building AI products such as chatbots, analytics, or speech and image recognition.
- Developers and researchers who want to showcase models, demos, or AI project documentation.
- Universities, research institutes, and communities running AI programmes or classes.
- Individuals building an AI portfolio or personal service. According to detikINET, general registration needs no special documents.
How it differs from .ai
Many AI companies worldwide use .ai, which is technically the country code of Anguilla, a small Caribbean territory. .ai.id sits under the .id extension managed by PANDI in Indonesia. For businesses serving the Indonesian market, .ai.id clearly signals that the service is Indonesian. You can also use both, for example .ai.id locally and .ai or .com globally.
Price at Resmi.ID
At Resmi.ID, a .ai.id domain currently costs IDR 118,000 per year, with the same renewal price. Prices may change with the registry; the latest price always appears when you check a name on the domain page.
How to register a .ai.id domain
- Open the domain page and type the name you want, for example
productname.ai.id. - If it is available, add it to your cart and choose the registration period.
- Complete the payment. The domain becomes active once payment is verified.
- Point the domain to your site or app through DNS settings in the client area.
.ai.id gives Indonesia's AI builders a clear local identity. Because general registration is first come, first served, the best names tend to go quickly. If you are building an AI product, now is a good time to secure its name.
